I create illustrations for children’s books, educational materials, and adult literature using digital, traditional, and mixed techniques. I also handle typesetting, page layout, and full book design, delivering cohesive, publication-ready projects.

Redwood Books

Redwood Books is an Adelaide-based family publisher of children’s books. We grew up surrounded by beautiful picture books, and Redwood Books gives us the space to focus on the fine details we loved as children to create intentional, characterful drawings, with clear stylistic choices and hidden jokes.In 2024, we completed Driver Camel’s Rainy Day — the official Ghan children’s book, created with the support of Journey Beyond. It’s now heading to print and will be available exclusively through the Journey Beyond online gift shop, in-store at the Adelaide Parklands Terminal, onboard The Ghan, and in select bookshops. Other titles are currently in progress.

Library For All

I have illustrated over 10 books for Library For All, using both digital media and soft pastels. This work allows me to contribute to accessible, high-quality educational content, and I’ve especially enjoyed being part of the Our Yarning project — a free library of books and educational resources created by and for First Nations people.The illustrations I create for Library for All are lively and expressive, with a quick, colourful style. The books have a fast turnaround and follow specific briefs, often including character references and page-by-page descriptions. Since I don't have a lot of time to include very detailed characters or super-tight, complete images, I try to keep the backgrounds full of textures that are evocative of the landscapes I need to describe. Working within the limitations posed by these projects is an enjoyable challenge, and every book has a more defined style.

Independent Authors

Other projects have included poetry anthologies and short story collections for adults, design and layout for recipe books and manuals, a book of short “Telegrams” (entirely designed, photographed, and produced by me for the author), and several children’s books in both English and Spanish.

Graphic Design

APRESTUR

Ongoing design and communication support for a local tourism and small business association. Work includes designing promotional materials, managing digital communication tools, and creating cohesive visual content for events and community initiatives.

Syensqo

Corporate design and motion graphics for internal and external communication, including social media carousels, video content, and visual assets for podcasts. This role combined creative production with project coordination across shared digital platforms.

Packaging and logo/brand development

Vector-based logo design and brand development for small businesses and independent brands, including concept development, color and typography systems, and adaptation of identities across packaging, print, and digital media.

General Freelance Design

Design for artists, small businesses, and community projects, including logos, flyers, album art, packaging, and book layouts. Projects often involve developing cohesive visual identities and adapting existing styles for print and digital media.

Textile Design

Seamless patterns and graphic elements for textile printing and product design. Work includes preparing print-ready files and adapting hand-drawn or digital illustrations for specialised print processes and materials.

Animation

Videos for Music

Music videos and visualizers for independent musicians, built from hand-painted elements or extracted fragments of existing paintings brought to life through frame-by-frame and digital movement. Work spans concept, animation, and final edit, developing a visual language for different songs that reflect the tone of the track.

Vector animation and Motion Graphics

Simple or complex vector and pixel-based animation, including video incorporation, exported for different platforms and contexts (logos, reels, podcast visualizers). Graphics for publicity and promotional use.

Formatting and typesetting for PhD and postgraduate theses to university and institutional standards (including APA, Chicago, and Harvard styles). Consistent headings, working tables of contents, reference formatting, figures, and print/PDF-ready output. Work covers the full academic document — title pages, chapter structure, cross-referencing, and final formatting checks before submission or publication. Also includes bilingual (English/Spanish) document preparation and formatting for marketing and corporate material.
